Here are 5 books that I've loved during the Advent/Christmas season.
Christmastide: Prayer for Advent Through Epiphany from The Divine Hours by Phyllis Tickle

I've used this prayerbook for the past two years!
The Art of Advent by Jane Williams

This helps me in trying to cultivate my ability to be still, listen, and experience God through my sense and heart, and not just my head.
Pearl S. Buck's Book of Christmas

This short story collection is new to me this year since finding it in an antique store last year. Enjoying it so far!
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

This is one of our family read-a-louds this season.
Christmas Day in the Morning by Pearl S. Buck, illustrated by Mark Buehner

C.S. Lewis sagely said, "A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest."
Bonus: Supper of the Lamb by Robert Farrar Capon

This is Justin's reading pick for Christmas (especially during the 12 days of Christmastide feasts). Technically this is more of a Lent/Easter book, but Capon has such a great theology of God's love for creation that it fits the Christmas incarnation celebration well. (This is also one of my favorite books of all time, and will be featured in the upcoming Top 5 Formative Nonfiction Books list.)
